Made from 100% Cabernet, this wine shows the intensity of fruit that Mount Veeder is capable of expressing. It also has excellent acidity. This certainly needs time. Give it until 2022 and beyond.  June 1, 2014

Aaron Pott continues to do no wrong, this time with a Syrah from Mt. Veeder.

Offers dense, chewy tiers of rich dark berry, dark chocolate, spice, licorice and dried herb notes, gaining momentum,
depth and traction on the long, gripping, tannic finish. Syrah. Best from 2014 through 2025. 74 cases made.

"Serious cellar Cabernet here.  It’s eruptive with jammy, blackberries, cherries and black currants, with a delicious edge of dark chocolate. The new oak adds spicy, pungent notes of buttered toast and caramel. Yet it’s also very tannic. So balanced and finessed, this Cab should have no
trouble negotiating the next 10-plus years. Maybe longer. Much longer. Cellar Selection."    August 2013

Appealing, offering a mix of rich flavors, with subtle dark berry, spice, graphite and crushed rock notes. Gains depth and persistence on the finish, where the flavors become more intriguing. Elegant and refined. Drink now through 2025. 46 cases made.(November 15, 2013) James Laubeec

Dave from the Napa Wine Project about the 2009 Communication Block

This wine certainly has a mouth watering acidity. The nose is elegant and dominated by red fruit aromas including cranberry, raspberry and initially a puff of dust or a gravel component. As the wine breathes more red fruit dominates. The mouth feel is soft upon entry with broadly distributed and
fairly  fine tannins anchoring a long finish.
